"Drunk" a new eBook by Erik Christian / Book Review ***** (5 Stars) by John Lars Zwerenz

Erik Christian is not just another writer of fiction.  He is a veritable seer, and he knows how to translate his gifts into a shining verbiage.  His new novel "Drunk" is a painfully honest assessment of what it is like to pass through the purgatories of alcoholism in its most severe manifestations.

Not since Ray Milland's depiction of the hopeless alcoholic in Paramount's 1945 film "The Lost Weekend" has the issue of being tied to the bottle been so realistically addressed as it is in Christian's new book.  In "Drunk" Christian makes no aesthetic apologies in his use of concrete, descriptive language.

The reader is introduced to the horrors of the addictive drinker without the presentation of this disease being watered down in any way.  And as this affliction effects so many in this time and place, Erik Christian's new novel carries an important message, of understanding through exposition.   This novel is outstanding.   ~ John Lars Zwerenz
